Restrained and elegant with fresh bramble fruit flavours and hints of dark chocolate and spice, well-balanced with smooth tannins. This is a lovely example of cooler-climate merlot and an excellent food wine, very much in a bordelaise style. Great food wine, serve with a juicy steak, savoury lamb casseroles, herby sausages or a char-grilled vegetable lasagna.
