Tasting notes
A mid-weight Mencia, with gentle but firm tannins balanced by dark cherry and bramble fruit. Fresh acidity drives a decent-length finish and floral and herbal complexity makes this an engaging glass of wine. Generally mid-weight in style but the warmer ’22 vintage shows a more generous, full body. Tannins are still balanced but savoury and more full-bodied than usual. A wine that benefits from time in decanter, or to open up in the glass.
Food match
Perfect with chicken or light red meat dishes – cooked in wine or with tomato sauces. Or delicious served lightly chilled too!
